DAY 1
FLORES- PALENQUE
Early morning transfer from Flores to Bethel. A boat transfer to Frontera Corozal and from there by land to Palenque. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the Maya Tulipanes Hotel (4*) or Chablis Hotel (2*).
DAY 2
HOTEL IN PALENQUE- PALENQUE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at your hotel (included) transfer to Palenque National Park. Guided visit of Palenque with a professional guide and park entrance fee are included. Palenque is the most beautiful of all Maya cities, due to the magnificent architecture nestled in a magical natural setting and the abundance of carved panels that have been discovered at the site. After lunch (included in your tour) you will visit the site museum (entrance fee included), where you will find the pieces that the Carnegie Institute and the INAH Mexican archaeologists discovered since research started in Palenque more than one hundred years ago. Transfer to your hotel in Palenque . Dinner on your own. Overnight at the Maya Tulipanes Hotel (4*) or Chablis Hotel (2*).
DAY 3
PALENQUE- BONAMPAK- YAXCHILAN- FLORES
Very early this morning your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the ancient Maya city of Bonampak. (Please be ready to go at 5:00 a.m. at your hotel's front desk). You will have breakfast en route. Guided visit of Bonampak, where you will see the most impressive Maya murals discovered thus far in the depths of the Maya jungle. After your visit you will proceed to the village of Frontera Corozal, where you will travel by boat downriver on the Usumacinta River to Yaxchilan (park entrance fee included), where your guide will share interesting stories with you about the life of Jaguar Shield and other dynastic rulers who reigned this land a long time ago. After your visit to the site and lunch back at Frontera Corozal you will continue by boat to Bethel, where our driver will be waiting to take you to Flores. Farewell!
